Preferences Not Saving (Mac)
A number of my students are unable to save the following preferences:
- Suppress splash screen
- Suppress information tips
- Add/remove automatic context
- Add/remove info pane
- Text browser font size

I asked one student what she was running: MacBook Air - Sequoia 15.7.4 - Accordance 14.1.2
Any suggestions?

Have they tried opening in Safe Mode and checking all the boxes in the Settings section?

No, they haven't tried safe mode. But this is clearly a new Accordance issue.
Please let us know how to save the preferences so they don't change with each start up.

I don’t work for accordance, I’m just a fellow user. But I would encourage them to try starting accordance in safe mode, as I suggested above. (This is accordance’s own safe mode, not restarting the entire Mac).

Where is Accordance support? I haven't seen much activity from them in some time.

I am having the same problem on a new (2026) MacBook Air with the latest Mac OS running Tahoe 26.5.1. It's not the end of the world but I do have need of some text and window preferences to make my visibility a little better. Old eyes. The changes appear in the open work tab but when I quit Accordance, there is no change on the opening. The opening splash message still appears despite being suppressed and my visibility changes do not seem to apply. Any help would be appreciated or maybe an app update to address the problem that seems to be still happening for many.
