Problems with 14.1.2 crashing

This is constantly happening to me as well. Info pane error, and then I cant save notes or change translations. When I restart the program, going to autosaved sessions never brings me to where I was. It always brings me to something weeks old. Accordance has had to be restarted 4 or 5 times this morning.

    Hello Daniel.

I'm a longtime user of Accordance, and in the absence of forum moderators, I can share a few ideas that have helped me.

    (1) Start with a computer reboot followed by opening Accordance in Safe Mode. The you will select the options listed in the instructions at the link below.

    (2) I discovered that some earlier releases of Accordance 14 created some corrupted note files. I'd recommend backing up your local notes files on your own hard drive in a separate directory (folder), and then using the Library tools to delete any note files that are part of your current workspace.

    (3) Then add each of the note files back in one at a time while testing each to test for corruption. If or when you find the problematic file (likely a crash), you will probably need to delete it. You might be able to open it in a text editor and spot the problem, but I did not find that very helpful. You can grab the text that is still intact and paste it into a brand-new notes file (version 14.1.x of Accordance seems to have addressed corruption of note files).u

BTW: Are you related to the Wagner clan from UP Michigan?

    Blessings, Ron

Thanks Ron. My family is mostly southeast Mi. I will try deleting some of the caches with the safe mode tool. But I have over 1400 users notes. The prospect of loading them one at a time and waiting for a crash is not how I planned to spend my retirement. Its a shame if its the program itself that corrupted the files.
