Keyboard Shortcut to Turn Live Click On or Off

The Live Click feature is quite useful; however, I don't always want it enabled.  I thought setting a keyboard shortcut for “Toggle Live Click” would do the trick to allow me to enable Live Click right before using it and then disable the feature soon after.  However, after setting the keyboard shortcut definition, every time I enter the shortcut, the Live Click check box does not change and the scripture text display jumps to some other reference.  Seems like I'm not understanding something here.

Is “Toggle Live Click” intended to do what I want?  Is there a way to set a shortcut to do what I want?  Any other suggestions you may have would be helpful.
