Feature request: verse segment indicator
Regarding Micah 4:6-7a
In biblical citations, that lowercase letter "a" (or sometimes "b", "c", etc.) is called a verse division or a verse segment indicator.
When a verse is broken down this way, the letters refer to specific clauses within that single verse:
- a refers to the first part of the verse.
- b refers to the second part of the verse.
So when you see Micah 4:6-7a, it means you should read all of verse 6, but only the first half (the "a" part) of verse 7.
When I type Micah 4:6-7a in the search bar, I am greeted with the following: "Book 7a is not found." I would appreciate the option to cite segments of a verse.

Are there any official boundary markers for the “a, b, c …” verse limits that a programmer could use to program such a feature?
Thinking about how I would construct such a feature ;)

I would suggest to respect the full stop as a boundary mark.
