HIghlighting Bug: Going Haywire after 4th click when I want to go on with my work

I use iMac Big Sur 11.7.10 with Accordance 14.1.2.

Continually I have trouble with the Highlighter.  For example, to get the shade of blue I want requires 4 hits on the blue circle (with the circle moving place after the first; so don't hit it 4 times quickly).  But often when I make the 4th hit to get the shade of blue I want, the system goes haywire. Error messages come up or it diverts to ISBE or some other encyclopedia, from which I must recover. For example, I just got this after hitting blue 4 times & trying to go on with my work: “The amplify default tool “%@” is not currently installed.”
