Status User Notes exporting
Grok summary:
As of early 2026, Accordance Bible Software still lacks a built-in, one-click option to export an entire User Notes file (or all notes) to open formats like plain text (.txt), RTF, Word (.docx), CSV, or similar. This has been a long-standing request on the Accordance Forums (threads dating back to 2012, with recent ones in 2024–2025 highlighting note corruption concerns and the need for reliable backups/exports). File > Save As Text File remains grayed out for User Notes tabs, bulk copy is limited (often ~500 verses max), and Print to PDF can be unreliable for large sets.
Accordance staff characterize it as a "highly-requested feature" they hope to implement "sometime," often citing priorities like syncing or other updates (e.g., in Accordance 14.x releases). No specific timeline, roadmap commitment, or explicit "promise" from developers appears in public sources—it's more acknowledged as desired without firm delivery confirmation.

I’m surprised Accordance still does not have this functionality. This is vitally important given that the User Notes frequently get corrupted in Accordance. This seems more important than adding new modules, commentaries etc. This is at the core of an individuals experience with God’s Word.

This is really important to me as well. I back up the note files, but I want to be able to export them in an easily editable format
