There is a 50MB limit at the moment.

Does “at the moment” mean that it will increase?  After three years of waiting for promised syncing, I can't believe that Accordance thought that 50 MB would be sufficient for its users.  It is essentially the same as not having syncing at all.

No. This should not be regarded as “answered”.

We can wait for you to adjust the file size limit so that a normal user can sync all items that are supposed to be synced, but this is not yet complete right now.

Besides, the bug of deleting the highlight file remains. This is too early to say it is “answered”.

My User Tools alone are 134 MB. I will need to stay with Dropbox sync until there is a higher limit that will accommodate all of my files to be synced. Is there a date when we can expect a higher limit?

    Thanks.

We've un-marked the post as answered. Mike Garrity take a look at the customer's highlighting file issue when you have a free moment.

We haven't heard an update yet concerning the file size limit, but someone can followup here when we do.

Thanks for following up on the highlighting issue. How can I help with this?

It's the little things that makes or breaks faith with customers. This is one of those little things that makes me want to simply part ways. I didn't care that this feature was promised 3 years ago and didn't happen. What I do care about is that now with User Tools at over 164MB built over the last nearly two decades of using Accordance is now not able to be sync'd up.  My suggestion would be to have figured out a way to allow continued use of Dropbox alongside or instead of Accordance Sync. Limits like this don't work for the longtime faithful customers. Seriously disappointed in this, especially since there is no going back. Dropbox was not a bad solution, though I understand not everyone used it. Wifi syncing is not the optimal option, but I suppose it will have to do. Accordance team, I appreciate all you do. That having been said, this limit is not a solution that is favorable for your customers.

Brent Lawrence Yes, I agree. I've been a customer since Accordance 8--over 15 years. Have accumulated many User Tools and use this feature regularly. This is particularly important since the other leading Bible software does not have a way to synchronize Personal Books with mobile devices.

For the moment, I'm able to use wi-fi syncing; however, this is much less efficient. I would also have preferred to continue using Dropbox until the 50MB limit was raised to accommodate syncing of all of my User Tools.

I appreciate all that the Accordance team does and will look forward to a favorable resolution.

    Thanks!

One of my colleagues can followup on this when they have an answer to this (since I, Nathan, won't be here much longer).

This must be addressed for “Accordance Sync” to be viable. It needs to be prioritized in the next update.

I've been an Accordance user since 2001 (ordered the CDs by phone). This is not a good situation. I'm hitting the same problem. When can we expect an increase in the sync size? If you aren't going to allow us to sync more than 50MB, can we at least have an option to be able to sync our notes across devices? The last few years have been taxing. Please do better communicating with your customers.

    Ditto everything above. Super frustrating.

There will be a file size limit increase in an upcoming release. We are currently looking at our internal syncing statistics to determine what limit will best meet the needs of the most users.

Very glad to hear there will be an increase.

Just so I'm clear; Until then, I need to WiFi sync. Since I have a phone, laptop and desktop, if I'm out and about with the former two and I make a change on say, the phone, when I get home, I have to remember to WiFi sync to the desktop and the laptop?

And I take it that is a two step process? (I haven't tried it yet and haven't upgraded as I'm nervous about loosing dropbox)

    Thanks in advance.

John, thanks for the link but I read that thru a couple of times and didn't get my answer.

For others information I dived in the pool and of course, lost data.

    So a warning for people changing syncing from dropbox to accordance sync;

Sync from your latest modified data to accordance first and then other devices.

I made the mistake of syncing from my phone first (my phone automatically updated) so when I then did my first sync from my laptop all the changes on the laptop were lost and it defaulted to what was on the phone. (Hope that makes sense)

It now seems to be working but I'm very nervous.
