Known Issue: Accordance 14 Not Working on New PCs
CompletedJust got a new Windows laptop last month. Accordance 14 would not install properly. Accordance Tech Support says this is a known issue on newer Windows machines. They very patiently worked with me to finally, after a couple of weeks, get a version of Accordance 13 working, but I'm missing the best feature of Accordance 14 and the most recently updated module of one of my purchases, which now requires Accordance 14.
When will this be fixed? Will the fix be announced when it is safe to try again to install Version 14?
In the meantime, consumers should be warned of this issue. It's a huge headache for anyone buying a new computer.

Some users of new Windows machines have been able to successfully install Accordance 14, but not all of them. Thank you for posting this here so our programming team can review it and followup with any questions they have on getting a resolution to this.

I'm happy to report that this has been fixed, for me at least. Once the Accordance programmers are confident that it has been fixed for everyone, I'm told an announcement will be made. Nonetheless, I still think it would have been better for an announcement to have been made about the problem once it became a known issue to save Accordance customers the potential grief of trying to resolve this issue while it still existed. Of course, I realize companies are afraid of negative PR and seek to minimize awareness of any negative issues or problems. For me, however, openness and concern for customers are much more important traits to be known for when considering company PR.

We'll get with Tech Support so that next time an issue of this scale happens again, we'll at least post a “Known Issue” post on our Support Center, and we may also consider posting on our blog.

Of course, it would be best to post a caveat at the site of purchase and download, if you really want to protect your customers from grief and aggravation.

We can do that as well. Thanks for the feedback!
