how are voting stats calculated
AnsweredI am confused about how the vote numbers for module requests are tabulated. Here are two questions - do you show the number of positive and negative votes and does your numbers show the total sum of the positive minus the negative. In other words, does a request that has zero votes show a lack of interest, or does a zero vote count for instance show you had three positive votes and three negative . I would like to see all of the votes represented as giving a more accurate view of the popularity of a particular request. Second question is why those who vote not identified in any way. If I am not familiar with a module but i see forum participants whom I know cast a vote (one way or another) that would cause me to look deeper into that module than I would otherwise

Thanks for the question! The numbers show the total amount of positive and negative votes. 0 means no one has likely voted on it, although it could theoretically mean three positive minus three negative (I don't think we've had any instances on that). The system doesn't directly tell you who voted for what (our provider said they do this for privacy reasons). Some module requests allow comments, so for modules you are passionate about, you're welcome to comment on those.
