HMT-W4 update?
CompletedWhatever happened to the update to HMT-W4 which was to be released the first week of May 2025?

Accordance staff: what is the status? Simple question.

Our module development team is reviewing this and will post additional updates as soon as we have them.

So sorry for the repeated delays. I have been 95% done this project for over five months. Little (but important) things have repeatedly hindered me. I expect we can have it out very soon.

Thank you very much! The LORD bless you and keep you.

It is released. If the Notes module does not appear for you, delete and re-install HMT-W4.

If any are curious what changed between WLC 4.20 and 4.22, I created a list of the differences. There are also release notes provided by the Groves Center, but:
- I don't know whether these are visible in Accordance.
- As I recall, they only provide summary information about the differences.
- As I recall, some of the summary information is not quite right.

Thanks Benjamin. HMT-W4 Notes lists all differences from WHM 4.14 to WHM 4.22. The previous version of HMT-W4 Notes (version 1.0) did not list any differences between releases of WHM. It only provided all the bracket codes present in WHM 4.22 to mark differences between HMT-W4 BHS/BHQ.

Thanks André-Philippe Therrien I didn't know about the "HMT-W4 Notes" module and now I see that it lists many (perhaps all) of the differences I list, e.g.:

And of course it lists many, many changes that are outside of the scope of my list, i.e. changes to the morphology and notes-only changes.
Nonetheless I can comfort myself that my list contains a lot of information absent from the “HMT-W4 Notes” module, such as:
- the relationship of these changes to UXLC changes
- in some cases, manuscript images
- in some cases, my scintillating and erudite commentary :-)
E.g. I had forgotten that I wrote something like a PhD thesis on the Ezra 4:12 change :-).

Thanks everyone for the discussion! If I need to post some release notes in our knowledgebase, I can.

Haha, OK. Good to know, Benjamin.
The data in HMT-W4 Notes only comes from what The Groves Center provides.0 -

Evidently I made a mistake, this is not a paid upgrade, but a free update to HMT-W4 Notes.
I believe the updated (version 1.1) notes module should install if you delete it and HMT-W4 and re-install HMT-W4 from Easy Install.
I believe I have fixed the issue, but it usually takes a whole day for changes to updates to populate to this window. So, tomorrow this update to version 1.1 should be free.1 -
The HMT-W4 did not show up as an update. I deleted both the HMT-W4 and HMT-W4 Notes files (move to trash). Then I was able to use Easy Install to download and install the newer versions.
It is somewhat disturbing that we have to do this. If I did not receive an email indicating the availability of the update, I would not have know about it, deleted the old to get the new. Why the extra step?

Did you do this yesterday or today?
I apologize. I was too eager to let you know. The updates always take a day to populate. I released the update yesterday, so I should have notified you today.0 -
Yesterday (July 10, 2025).
I was not looking for an apology. I was concerned that an update sometimes requires deletion and Easy Install.

An update to a text or tool should never require deletion and Easy Install and this was not an exception.
If a module is missing that should have been installed, that’s another issue.

FYI: when I checked for updates both the update to HMT-W4 and the new HMT-W4 Notes file appeared, downloaded, and installed without any issues.

The updates are successfully working for me as well.

These updates were successful for me as well.
My Hebrew syntax was also updated to version 3.2; however, it seems to have reverted to having more incomplete areas in Isaiah than the previous version. I believe 7:8-11:8, 11:10-21:7, 21:9-26:8, 26:10-39:8 had been completed in previous versions leaving 57:4-66:24 (or a part of that) to be completed.
If anyone has the previous version to 3.2 and could check those areas I would appreciate it.
The areas in question in version 3.2 display as the following picture.

Thanks for your question, Watson.
The product page on the website specifies that it contains the “entire Hebrew Bible with the exception of Isaiah 7-39, 56-66.” I had written to Dr. Holmstedt recently and mentioned this omission and did not receive a reply addressing it, so it looks like we are still waiting on him for the completion of the HMT-W4.syntax module.0 -
Thank you André-Philippe Therrien for this information.
