Searching by Hebrew Nikkudot
AnsweredI'm searching for all hebrew words that have 3 or more letters and which have a sheva under the second letter. (No other parameters). I've tried searches using various configurations of character wild cards (?), wild cards (*), exact form (=), grouping by parentheses, all while typing in the sheva under the second letter using the characters palette. Thus far I've had no success in acheiving what I'm looking for.
I'd appreciate anyone's help in schooling me on how to do this search successfully in Accordance.

(from previous post which hasn't been approved yet, probably due to links)
Enter this =???√* into search
it will transform into =???ְ* when you select “words” or “letters”.
Is that what you were looking for?
Blessings!
Searching “letter” you find this
searching “words”

I was able to duplicate your search and this is exactly what I was looking for. I appreciate your help!
I'll continue to tweak it to try to pick up some of the particles that this particular search does not concern itself with. I'm not concerned with the definite article and conjunctions for my particular search purposes, but prepositions read differently and would be helpful. I'm trying to assist students in learning when the sheva is pronounced within a word and when its not.
Thanks for the links that you attached, they are very helpful. Anytime that David Lang was speaking about Accordance, I'm all ears.
Thanks again!

By the way, before we sunset the old forums, if you want to edit your post with the links and change the URLs to versions hosted on Archive.org, that will preserve the links here once the old forums are fully sunset.
