Thanks for the feedback! Would you want this to incorporate AI models or just improved search commands?

Whatever it takes to utilize Natural Language like almost every other search tool on the internet. Having to learn Special Commands greatly limits what you can find. Advanced searching pulls in, and ranks material and lends itself to learning and discovery. Currently, Key Word searching in Tools is just too basic, and finds way too much to sift through.

agreed. The possibility of looking for a theme that is not connected to a specific word, across all resources, would be very helpful.

I don't know if this is what the OP has in mind, but I've started using NotebookLM and being able to interrogate your trusted sources is fantastic. I'm already gaining some insights just interrogating the app about the Bible text, without considering my out sources. Being able to do that with original languages would be phenomenal, although perhaps further away. Something like that integrated in Accordance would be wonderful. As a busy bivocational pastor, this is something I'd pay for.

Agreed. This would be awesome to have within Accordance!

Agree with Alex here. We have downloaded the modules. It would be amazing to be able to feed that to an AI, and ask questions, deliver sourced replies. Or make it agentic. I would really love that.

Not sure though if accordance can make an AI to run locally to read my modules. Or another way around, make the modules readable to an AI online or locally. Is the format of the modules encoded in such a way that it cant be shared? (makes sense to protect the data, but would make an aplication like this difficult)

Our books are in a proprietary format to protect publisher's copyrights, but we're opening to hearing how users would like to see Accordance leverage API. We also have a ton of feedback from C Weber about developing an API.

AI Research Assistance is now becoming a basic standard feature in so many different Applications and very helpful to speed up finding pertinent information.

It would be so great for Accordance to catch up and incorporate this soon.

Well… I just used Microsoft CoPilot to conduct a kind of Bible search I have been wanting to do that neither Accordance nor Logos is capable of doing at this time.

Check my report on my blog.

Logos now conducts natural language searches within a users library using AI to answer questions and provide sourced links to what is in your library and will give you information about what is not in your library but provide a link for purchase for that resource.

We need a similar capability.  It's the future.

6 Months after this initial post, the ability to research and find information quickly and intuitively using AI continues to grow. There are a great number of free tools on the web that are really enhancing research.

What a boon it would be to Accordance to be able provide users, current and future, with a more robust Research Assistant that utilizes natural language to find information within the modules we have purchased. Key Word searches are just too limited and simplistic. Natural language searches can find related ideas and subjects that broaden the search scope beyond what is initially expected. Often an answer or help is in a resource, under a heading, or buried in a chapter that is unexpected.

I'm so much hoping for Natural Language search and AI integration into Accordance. The old style of search with special commands feels unatural at this point. Please, Accordance, update us on this.
