Danker provided alternate spellings for lemmas when the lexeme occurs with multiple spellings within the GNT, and in different manuscripts and editions. For example, the word αποριπτω is provided as απο(ρ)ριπτω (with accent and breathing mark) to indicate that it can occur with one or two rhos. Since leaving the lemma like this makes it unsearchable (punctuation breaks up words for the search indexing), in such cases I provided both alternate spellings fully, separated by a slash. It is the practice of Danker in the Concise BDAG to use slashes elsewhere to indicate alternate spellings of lemmas.
I also want to let you know that I informed the publisher of the following spelling mistakes and that I obtained the publisher’s approval to integrate their respective corrections. The only mistakes that I was not able to fix are two instances of missing words from the dictionary. ἔξειμι II is missing and συμφυλετής. I discovered some of these mistakes as I was building a special list called an “exception list” that ensures all lexemes in the GNT will be found in the Concise BDAG, even if the Concise BDAG has a different lemma than the tagged lexeme in the given GNT module (such as NA28-T). For example, in the NA28, there is the lexeme εκλεγομαι, which occurs in the Concise BDAG under the lemma εκλεγω. If a user triple-clicks on the word in the GNT or searches for the word as εκλεγομαι in the Concise BDAG directly, the exception list ensures that the entry for εκλεγω will be found.
On page 19, the word ἁμάρτυρος (spelled with a rough breathing mark/dasia) should be spelled ἀμάρτυρος (with a smooth breathing mark/psili).
On page 75, the word γαζαφυλάκιον (the alternative spelling for the head word γαζοφυλάκειον) is spelled incorrectly. The two different spellings only have to do with how to spell the second-to-last syllable (either kappa+epsilon+iota or only kappa+iota). The second word should be spelled γαζοφυλάκιον rather than γαζαφυλάκιον.
On page 133, the word ἔξειμι (from εἶμι, not εἰμί) is missing from the dictionary. It occurs in Acts 13:42; 17:15; 20:7; 27:43. It was surely an oversight.
On page 133 also, the word ἐξεραυνόω is misspelled. It should be spelled ἐξεραυνάω (ending in alpha+omega). The note regarding the older spelling ἐξερευνάω is correct.
On page 156, ἐυφημία and ἐυχαριστέω are both misspelled. The smooth breathing mark/psili should be above the upsilon, not above the epsilon.
On page 238, the word μυστῆριον should be spelled with an acute accent: μυστήριον.
On page 283, the word πιθαναλογία is misspelled (with an alpha in the middle). It should be πιθανολογία (with an omicron in the middle).
On page 334, the word συμματυρέω is missing a rho. It should be συμμαρτυρέω.
On page 335-6, the word συμφυλετής is missing from the dictionary. It occurs in 1 Thessalonians 2:14.
On page 384, the word χρίσμα should be spelled with a circumflex: χρῖσμα.
